Brenda Storrie

Brenda Storrie BSc, MSc , PGCert, PGDip
Play and Creative Arts Therapist
Brenda is passionate about a child’s development and mental wellbeing. Her integrative holistic approach is based on the belief that children have the internal drive to achieve wellness. She uses a wide range of creative arts-media and play to enable her patients to communicate their inner experiences. Together they develop skills to deal with life’s challenges now and in the future.
Brenda trained as a specialist Play and Creative Arts Therapist for Children and Young People after running her own early years setting for over a decade. More recently she has worked in several West London primary schools delivering Play and Creative Arts therapy, providing a safe place to process challenges like bereavement, extreme anxiety, dyslexia, low self-esteem, domestic violence, aggressive behaviour, depression, exposure to alcoholism and autism etc.
As a mother herself, Brenda believes it is essential to adapt to our children’s way of life and keep up to date with new techniques and developments in the area of child and adolescent mental health.
As a member of PTUK’s Play and Creative Arts register, it requires her to maintain a high level of competency by undertaking continuous professional development.
