Dilva Porter
My name is Dilva Porter and I work as a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner and Therapist with NELFT NHS Trust (CAMHS) My professional background is that after obtaining my first degree I then trained as a Nurse and Health Visitor in 1990 then became a University Lecturer in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Suffolk from 2001-2014 when I then moved to ARU in Chelmsford as a Senior Lecturer in Community Nursing Training School Nurses and Health Visitors from 2014-2016. I then returned to the NHS where I have worked in CAMHS since 2016 until the present. I specialise in helping children with co-morbid diagnoses of ASD , ADHD, Anger issues and DSH.
In Northeast Essex and Suffolk. I have a B.A. (Hons) in Psychology and a MSc (Dist) in ASD/ADHD and a Cert HE in Children’s Person-Centred Counselling in addition to my PTUK Qualifications. I am also hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and I have over forty years’ experience of working with children and teens aged under eighteen.
