Emma Rushforth

I am registered with BACP, PTUK, AVIG UK, and AST. I offer play therapy, and creative counselling to children and young people, and sandplay sessions for all ages. Creative clinical supervision is offered (currently training with PTUK).
I am a registered SandPlay Therapist with The Association of SandPlay Therapy. I integrate SandPlay into my Play Therapy Practice, which allows clients to express themselves without words.
I am a Trainee VIG Practitioner registered with AVIG UK (Association of Video Interaction Guidance United Kingdom). VIG is strengths-based and collaborative and empowers the parent/carer to gain new perspectives on their attunement skills with their child.
I am a qualified Level 6 Supervisor and completed my training with CCT (Community Counsellor Training). I have provided clinical supervision to a range of professionals, including healthcare professionals and counsellors.
I offer therapeutic support to children and young people who are survivors of domestic abuse, children and young people who are Looked After within the Care system either by Foster Carers, Grandparents, or extended family members. Play Therapy allows a safe space to explore lived experiences with or without words, using play as communication.
