Jade Holmes
I currently practice as a Play & Creative Arts Therapist. I am based within the North Coast of Northern Ireland and surrounding areas.
Prior to becoming a student on the post graduate courses offered by Play Therapy United Kingdom (PTUK), I obtained a first-class BSc (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Care, Health, and Education. Over the course of my academics and career, I have gained a wealth of experience in working with children ranging in age, and with various needs – both in mainstream and special education settings.
In addition, my work ethic has been acknowledged and recognised by higher education bodies, whereby I have received an award for ‘Outstanding Commitment and Achievement to Professional Development in the Early Years Sector’ at a recent graduation ceremony.
In my role, I thrive in supporting children therapeutically, using the medium of play and creative arts. Furthermore, as an advocate for children and their rights, my clients are at the centre of my work. That being said, I also enjoy working with, and supporting, parents and families, as their child embarks on, and progresses through, their play therapy journey. Liaising with other professionals within the field is fulfilling work too, as I continue my quest to raise awareness of the need for play therapy in the lives of our children.
If the services I provide are something you would be interested in availing of, please do not hesitate to contact me to express such interest, and to discuss your family’s, or organisation’s, needs further. You can find me on Instagram @playtherapywithjade.ni or Facebook – Play Therapy with Jade NI.
