Kit Yi Chung
Known As: Kary
Kary Chung has been a licensed social worker with five years of frontline experience in Hong Kong. She has completed the course of Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills and gained the title of Certified Practitioner on the PTUK register of Play and Creative Art Therapists. She aims to work as a Play Therapist.
Kary’s experience is rooted in a rock-solid background of working with needy children and their families. She has worked with kindergarten children and their families for four years. She supports clients on a range of issues such as parent-child relationships, parenting, couple communication and special education needs (SEN). In addition, she has managed risk cases such as child abuse and family violence. She utilizes the child-centred approach to resolve the cases. She is well-acquainted with using non-directive therapeutic play skills to facilitate those children who have grown in complicated families or had emotional and behavioral difficulties to express themselves and enhance their spiritual growth. She has a wealth of experience in providing accurate and effective parenting skills for supporting parents to communicate with their children and to enhance their relationship.
She is dedicated in supporting children who cannot verbally express or describe their struggles or difficult feelings. It is her firm belief that children can develop the ability of self-healing if a secure environment for self-discovery and growth is provided.
