Lauren Atkinson
Lauren provides tailored psychotherapeutic interventions supporting children with their mental health and wellbeing through her private practice Feel Free Play Therapy. Lauren works from Sunrise Wellbeing Therapy Centre in Anstey and at Apex House in Lutterworth as well as visiting schools in and around Charnwood, Leicestershire. As a member of PTUK, Lauren undergoes regular clinical supervision and CPD and her therapy service includes individual and group therapy with children within the primary age range, as well as providing whole class workshops around mental health awareness. Lauren is passionate about equipping children with resilience, confidence and self-awareness to cope with the challenges they face. Through mediums such as sandplay, artwork, role play, music, creative visualisation, embodiment activities and therapeutic stories, children play out their feelings and issues within a strong therapeutic relationship built on acceptance and a belief in their potential.
