In February 2024, after I received my Final PTI/PTSA Diploma in Play therapy and I started a private Play Therapy Practice.
I am delighted to offer Individual Play Therapy Sessions in my playroom to clients. I offer
Parent Coaching and Training in the following skills:
• Bonding and attachment
• Emotion coaching
• Regulation, relating, reasoning
• Parent/child play skills.
• I do teacher training and coaching.
• Public speaking on parent meetings at pre-schools.
• I offer therapeutic stories at pre-schools using Puppetry.
I constantly see children healing through play from their:
➢ overwhelming emotional outbursts
➢ anxiety and separation anxiety
➢ negative self-talk
➢ bereavement
➢ resistance to except a new sibling in the family
➢ uncontrolled behaviour
➢ bullying behaviour
➢ difficulties to socialise
➢ negative self-image
➢ big changes in the family like divorce, moving homes or changing schools
➢ the effects of ADHD and ADD
➢ fears and night terrors
According to Landreth, (2012):” Children use play to communicate their thoughts
and feelings. Everyday language, which is the language of thinking, is not the
natural language of feeling for children. Their natural language is that of image and
metaphor.
