Hi, I am Tara, a qualified play therapist in central Bristol. I have over 25 years experience working with children, young people, families, and carers supporting a range of needs – as a teacher, youth worker and co-ordinator of children’s education projects. I have been working in schools delivering Play therapy for the last 5 years with powerful results. I specialise in non-directive, child centered Play therapy. Child centered Play Therapy ensures children are not pressured to achieve external outcomes, but are given the time, space and trust to work at their own pace. By being enabled to direct their own process, children experience a significant shift in their locus of control, and the ensuing positive outcomes are deeply embedded, and long lasting.
