Victoria Hunter

‘Hello, I’m Victoria. From early on building meaningful relationships has been an important focus within my work. This is when I feel most fulfilled, grateful and motivated, and have experienced an important factor for healing and growth. I have 14 years working with children and families, including family support and social work. I have experience working in CAMHS, specialising in therapeutic assessment and intervention for Children in Care. This path led me to experience the healing power of play within a therapeutic relationship. Feeling strongly connected to the values and qualities of the role I undertook play therapy training in 2015. I work as a trauma informed therapist with attachment, the nervous system, sensory integration and somatic approaches being particular areas of interest. Utilising non-directive and directive approaches, I tailor sessions to the individual needs of the child, supporting them in processing their difficult experiences and emotions, and developing healthy strategies going forward. My play therapy path has been one of the most rewarding experiences, and I feel so grateful and privileged to work alongside each child’s unique healing journey. I am currently based in schools, as well as offer private play therapy sessions within my Cranbrook based studio. I also offer parent child attachment play sessions, strengthening parent-child relationships based on the latest attachment research.

Many Thanks
Victoria
