There are three organisations who have responsibilities for the Play Therapy UK Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists:
Play Therapy UK (PTUK) who manages the Register.
The Professional Standards Authority (PSA) set the standards for organisations, including PTUK, holding registers and accredit those that meet them. The PSA audits PTUK's management of the Register.
The British Council for Therapeutic Interventions With Children is an organisation that is completely independent from PTUK and the PSA. It monitors and advises upon the standards and activities of PTUK, prevents potential conflicts of interest, hears any complaints against PTUK or its Registrants and reports to the PSA any unreasonable refusal by PTUK to implement the Council's recommendations.
