Athina Vlachou
Matina has been working with young children in Greece and China for the past 7 years as an educator and therapist. Children flourish emotionally and mentally and learn best when their brains are calm and not flooded with anxiety, anger and other “big” emotions; her approach to therapy focuses on creating empathic and secure bonds and harmonizing the mind, brain and body, drawing strategies from the latest neuroscience findings on co-regulation and regulation. She has completed a BA in Pedagogy and Psychology, and Psychology, major in Psychology, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She offers play therapy and family counselling services privately while she also collaborates with private schools and child health organizations working with children therapeutically and educating teachers and other healthcare professionals.
