My name is Dayna and I am a Trainee Play Therapist. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy validated by the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). I am a registered member of Play Therapy Ireland. Play Therapy Ireland is the largest professional membership body in Ireland under the umbrella of Play Therapy International. I uphold a valid Garda Vetting Clearance through PTIrl and professional Indemnity Insurance. The service I offer is influenced by Virgina Axline, psychologist and play therapy advocat. I lead a non directive, non interpretative and non judgement play therapy.
This play therapy supports children emotionally and mentally to empower them to work through their difficulties and traumatic experiences. My model of play therapy used in the playroom is integrative holistic.
I value children’s emotional well-being and working through emotions using creative arts and play.
