Naomi Griffiths
I am a Certified Play and Creative Arts Therapist, based in West Kent. My background is in Applied Arts, I then completed an Art Psychotherapy Foundation course, which is where my journey began. I put my dream of becoming a therapist on hold, as I gained 17 years of valuable experience working with children, young people and families; supporting blind students, as a family mediator and as an advocate for homeless young people. I began training with PTUK in 2017 and qualified in 2021, then was appointed as a Play Therapist and Parent Support Advisor at a primary school. I currently have contracts in local primary schools, working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs and looked after children.
An integrative and holistic approach to therapy enables the children I work with to express their emotions freely, with few limitations, in a non-judgemental and safe environment. I am continuously inspired by each individual child’s innate ability to overcome life’s challenges and feel privileged to be a part of their journey, witnessing the wondrous healing power of play.
I have availability in September 2024 (1-2 days per week) term time only. If you are interested in taking on a Play and Creative Arts Therapist, please contact me for more information.
