Naomi Griffiths

I am a Certified Play and Creative Arts Therapist, based in West Kent. My background is in Applied Arts, then I went on to do a Foundation course in Art Psychotherapy, which is where my journey began. I put my dream of becoming a therapist on hold, as I gained 17 years of valuable experience working with children, young people and families- Supporting blind students, as a family mediator and as an advocate for homeless young people, also becoming a mother of two.
Since qualifying in 2021, I have been based in primary schools, providing individual and group sessions, including long term work with Looked After Children. My work also involves supporting and empowering parents and carers throughout the whole therapeutic process. This year I will be embarking on further training in Play and Creative Arts Counselling of Children and Young People, which will enable me to work in secondary schools.
An integrative and holistic approach to therapy enables the children I work with to express their emotions freely, with few limitations, in a non-judgemental and safe environment. I am continuously inspired by each individual child’s innate ability to overcome life’s challenges and feel privileged to be a part of their journey, witnessing the wondrous healing power of play.
I currently have availability so please contact me for more information.
